I must say this year was incredibly full of wonderful memories and eye opening experiences. For starters, I decided to expand my business and move to New York, went on a cross country road trip with the love of my life, was inspired by the classic charm of France and Italy, and am currently in Merida, Mexico designing a wedding at the most amazing hacienda. It has also been a year full of meeting new clients and vendors, collaborating with talented friends, and growth both personally and professionally. I have felt overwhelmed and exhausted in many ways but overall am stunned by this year in the most beautiful way.

As we enter 2015, I want to share some of my favorite finds. I hope they will bring you equally as much joy as they have brought me this year! This is a collection of Art, tunes, flowers we have loved, some twinkle for your toes, and booze because well, booze. Run your mouse over the image to find the link.

Cheers to 2015! May it hold new dreams and fabulous surprises and overflow with flowers. Always more flowers.

Whether you are at Monday Night Brewery for a couple of beers or a lot of beers – you are bound to have an incredible time! Throw in food catered by Sun in My Belly, a cake by Sweet Cheats and popsicles from King of Pops and you have yourself a perfect combination! We absolutely loved working with Allison and Kevin and are excited to share their special day with you!

A little message from our beautiful bride:

“We wanted our wedding to be “fun casual chic,” my fiance is a big beer nerd, so we decided to get married at Monday Night Brewery in West Midtown, Atlanta. We loved the strung lights on the patio, which continued inside the venue, to give the whole space a glow as we were getting married and partying into the night. Juli made our wedding amazing, she completely captured my vision of a casual chic night by creating ombre flowers, full/fluffy/low centerpieces, and even bringing in vintage salad and dessert plates to adorn the tables while the guests filed into the reception. Juli also made a ribbon backdrop for us to get married in front of, which enhanced the foliage outdoors and gave us a pop of color. I loved how she accentuated details within the reception space, such as making a mustache and SMOOCH talking bubble on the fireplace mantle, and adding an “MMM HMM” sign above our cakes. All of these details were perfect, and our guests commented on how great they were.

Working with Juli and her team truly made our wedding better than we envisioned. It was like she jumped into my brain, figured out exactly what I wanted, and made it come to life. All of our guests complimented the attention to detail that was paid, and Juli is the reason for that compliment. ”

Lindsay and Ben are two of a kind – sharing a love for the city and for the outdoors. When Ben proposed (via Scrabble board!), Lindsay couldn’t have been happier. Together, over the duration of their engagement, they made 1000 paper cranes out of brightly colored paper – which they later asked me to use in their wedding décor, along with mercury glass and a limited selection of flowers. Flowers are my favorite, of course, but sometimes choosing just the right florals and keeping them small makes for a big effect!

Since Lindsay and Ben were after a city wedding, we agreed to keep the colors very simple – a neutral background (gray) with pops of bright yellow – and of course their beautiful cranes! Summerour provided the perfect backdrop for this wedding, bringing a sense of the sleek and modern to Lindsay and Ben’s day.

I hope you’ll love all the special touches in Lindsay and Ben’s wedding as much as I do!

From the first time I met Lindsay I knew her wedding would be unforgettable. Playing with color is one of the highlights of this crazy job, and when Lindsay told me that she wanted a bright, colorful celebration – one not limited to a specific color palette – I was thrilled. That she trusted me and gave me a lot of free reign to create color explosions and awesome handmade pieces was even better!

Beyond colors, Lindsay and Ryan’s wedding was chocked full of personalized details. There were golden dinosaurs, a dog cake topper, rainbow sprinkled doughnuts, bright paper flowers in trees, and metallic arrows. Lindsay also designed (check out her website here) all the printed paper goods including the menus and the adorable ‘yay!’ signs her guests waved throughout the evening.

It truly felt like we were playing during the entire process and contributed to why I have such a crush on this wedding.

Brace yourself. You’re about to crush too ;)

Books a Million {Diana & David}

We all know that person who is never without a book in hand – that person whose entire house looks like one giant used bookstore, where every table, shelf, and random chair is loaded with a stack of novels. Diana’s groom, David, is that person – and it’s the thing Diana loves most about him. […]

Noteworthy Neutrals {Jordan & David}

It’s easy to think that a neutral color palette equals a boring wedding. White, tan, ivory, and gray don’t seem like exciting colors at first glance. But design-wise it’s totally possible to do amazing things with colors that seem so ordinary. With a varied color palette, textures can be a hard sell – but with […]

The Modern Meaning of Tradition {Anu + Joe}

They say necessity is the mother of invention – and Anu and Joe proved to be a very inventive couple! When their plans for a destination wedding to Mexico fell through, they decided to create the destination experience for family and friends from Texas – all while staying right here in Atlanta. Built around the […]

Red, White, and Blue {Across the Pond Style}

Some people were born to be Anglophiles – and I’m one of them! I adore anything British or Union Jack-related. Throw in some adorable Teddy Bears and I’m so there! (Little known fact: I collect Teddy Bears and have since I was a baby!) So, I jumped on the opportunity to do a photo shoot […]

Papers, Please {Katie & Mike}

Katie is a girl of simple, elegant, straightforward tastes. She knows exactly what she wants and how she wants it. So when she came to me to design her wedding, she had a very clear vision for her wedding day. Katie was looking for classic, modern elegance drenched with her favorite color, yellow, and accented […]
