Sweet Laura and Troy gave me these pictures this weekend and I’m so excited to post some of their details. (Their wedding was September 19, 2009) Laura was such a precious bride and I really loved creating her wedding flowers! Enjoy!

As promised, here are some of the bouquets I did for 40/40/40. I dropped the flowers off this morning and couldn’t help staying for a bit to watch some of the weddings and really steal a bit of “people watching” time as well. The atmosphere was so energetic and festive. Who knew a one hour ceremony and reception could be so vibrant? (for more info, see previous post) Congrats to Sylvia and Herschel Clark who put the whole thing on and blessings to all the couples!
Oh, and it’s ok if you want to laugh at my crazy “sets” for the bouquets – I needed my fabulous Michelle, but the little Nikon Camera had to do!

This weekend Atlanta is hosting a groundbreaking event called “40 40 40“. It has been featured on People 2 People ( a segment on Channel 2 News) and has received National notice. Here’s the schtick: 40 hours, 40 weddings, $40 for Bride/$40 for Groom. Voila! The Biggest wed-a-thon in history! If that wasn’t enough, the event is giving its proceeds to the Atlanta Children’s Shelter. I’ve been asked to provide some of the flowers for it and I’ll be posting those pictures next week. Check it out!
I found these the other day and just adore them! They’re a perfect favor or accent to a Candy Bar for Fall. You could even order some for your Thanksgiving Table – just in case you need a lollipop after your stuffing. (Wink!)

I get inspired by lots of things every day – the fall colors right now especially. I’m amazed at the fact that 5 trees can be lined up in the exact same soil with the exact same sun exposure and 4 of them will be burnt orange while one will be just the most vibrant red you’ve ever seen. As if to say, “I’m different! Check me out!” It makes me smile every time.
So, on that note, here is my current color inspiration. There are no vibrant-look-at-me reds, yet I’m completely hooked on this color combination. I think it might have to do with the amount of gray skies we’ve had in Atlanta due to all the rain. They’re soft, unfussy, and totally gorgeous to me! This arrangement has Dusty Miller, Yellow Lilies, Caramel Antique English Roses, and Peachy Orange Ilex Berries.
Call it Cloudy with a chance of Autumn!

Several months back I did a “teaser” for Mandi and Josh’s picnic wedding. The wedding was fun, the bride was beautiful, and the guests danced the day away to Thriller. What more could a wedding ask for?
