Recently I teamed up with a handful of amazing Atlanta-based vendors with the intent to show something fresh, bright, quirky, and fabulous. We drew our inspiration from all things neon, retro, Beatles-loving, and London-esque. The result was basically a neon, fun, happy day that I hope you will draw inspiration from and enjoy some “colah!” (that’s the word color for those of you that don’t speak “crazy accent dialect.”)

Sorry for the cheese, but it just seemed appropriate. Today I’m heading to New York City. Just saying the city’s name conjures up the old El Paso commercial which I’ll try to refrain from actually saying while I’m there.

During the next few days I’ll be working on a photo shoot with Carmen Santorelli who I can’t wait to meet! More to come on that with lots of gorgeous imagery and inspiration and incredible vendors!

For some gorgeous inspiration now from one of my favorite floral designers in New York go here

By now you probably know that Summerour Studio is pretty much my favorite venue. I love the people that work there so much and it is such a joy  to reinvent a space based on a couple’s personality time and time again. It challenges my creativity and that is what I live for.

Beth and Danny’s wedding this past February was no different. It was sophisticated without being stuffy, woodland-y without being rustic, and romantic in a sitting in a park having a picnic sort of way. Based on their combined cuteness I would say that sums up their relationship too. They are adorable and The Reason I Love Photography captured their day beautifully.

The NotWedding this past Thursday was more fun, more inspiring, more heartwarming,  and more bonding that I ever thought it would be. I met some amazing people and formed several friendships that I truly treasure in this industry. I was also blessed with beautiful flowers. I mean miracle out-of-season {yet somehow available} flowers.  I was ecstatic.

Here’s a preview of some of my designs from the gorgeous lens of the dynamic duo behind  Rustic White Photography.

I’m tickled pink…and peach. {wink}

The only thing I’m missing from this post is a couple of Umpa Lumpas….because this is the golden ticket if you’re a newly engaged bride! As I’ve said before, I have the awesome privilege of being one of the vendors for the upcoming The NotWedding on Thursday, March 8th at Ambient Plus Studio. Last night I met many of the vendors and trust me on this, the team assembled is quality meets adorability meets sheer awesomeness.

And, I have a ticket to give away. SO, here are the details: If you’re a bride and want this ticket, have your BFF’s, mom, mom’s bestie, and kitchen sink “like” my Facebook Page and post a comment about why they think you and your hot lil’ self should win this ticket.

I’ll announce the winner next Friday…no hot air balloons will be used, but you’ll be walking on a cloud after the event I guarantee it!

Emily is a snazzy blog writer and owner of a darling Etsy shop chocked full of vintage goodies. She’s also just a dear with more than a hint of sass  – my kind of chic! I had the privilege of providing her and John with their wedding flowers this past weekend and got to work with some of my favorite vendors in the process: Mao of Four Inch Fold Vintage Rentals and Dana of Zest Atlanta – a marvelous collection if I do say so myself!

Oh! And their main photographer, Whitney Huynh kicked photog butt with her gorgeous, gorgeous images!!

See what I mean???

This coming week is nuts – like time to get a clone of myself who’s equally as cuckoo as I am – nuts. Basically it’ll be a blast and then I can get a massage!

Right now, though, I have a free moment. A breather. A sigh. A bit of time to realize I can just eat the elephant of the week I have coming “one bite at a time.”  I realize I’m journaling on my professional blog, but oh well. I’m at Sun in my Belly “hawking” my wares in the corner {it’s Valentine’s Day for the next 4 days, don’t you know?!} and listening to the most glorious little band that’s making me a bit sleepy but mostly just calm.

I’ve been wanting to share these images from The Boxcar Grocer’s grand opening party a few weeks ago and I just haven’t had a breather before now – so enjoy these. And check out Boxcar – it’s a great neighborhood grocery with a great mission.

Let me start out by saying Carmen is a cutie. A bonafide born n’ bred Georgia girl with a contagious smile that clearly her new hubby, Josh, melts for.  Their wedding took place in Winder, Georgia this past October and was overflowing with cream and white flowers, touches of pink, gathered objects, homemade cakes, and personal elements galore.

It was terribly difficult to pick out a sampling of images because these images (that are so yummy – yes, pictures can be yummy) are gorgeous. They were captured by Mandy Busby Photography who I cannot recommend enough – she is a darling and so amazing at what she does.
